My recent Melaka trip allows me to taste their famous Hainanese Chicken Rice. The highlight of the Hainanese Chicken Rice is on it's chicken rice ball. Typically Hainanese will only cook the chicken rice during Chinese New Year and Qing Ming Festival.

Here's the verdict. The chicken rice ball was excellent. Given that it is cooked using normal rice rather than fragrant rice, the chef did an excellent job in making the rice ball stands out with the perfext blended mixed of taste of garlic, ginger and chicken. The rice ball is soft and the traste truly appetizing. Thumbs up!! However the chicken is rather hard but is well compensated by the tasty gravy.
